At Lola's Kusina AZ, we believe that food is more than just nourishment; it's a way to connect, to create memories, and to share love. Our food business is a reflection of our heritage, passion for cooking, and the cherished memories we've made in the kitchen with our loved ones.

My name is Dess, and I am the proud owner of Lola's Kusina AZ. I am happily married and a mom of two wonderful children. Our family currently resides in the vibrant community of San Tan Valley, AZ. Although we are far from our roots in the Philippines, our restaurant is a tribute to the flavors, traditions, and warmth of Filipino cuisine.

My culinary journey began in my early years, when my late grandmother (picture above) graciously welcomed me into her kitchen. As she prepared delicious meals for our family, she would involve me in the cooking process, teaching me the art of blending flavors and the importance of using fresh, high-quality ingredients. I became her trusted food taster and discovered my deep-seated passion for the culinary arts.

When my grandmother passed away, my mother carried on the culinary traditions passed down through generations. She generously allowed me to assist her in the kitchen, further nurturing my love for cooking. It was during these moments that the concept of Lola's Kusina, meaning Grandma's Kitchen, was born.

Lola's Kusina AZ is a labor of love. We pour our hearts into every dish we create, ensuring that each bite takes you on a journey of flavors and memories. Our menu showcases authentic Filipino cuisine with a modern twist, featuring classic dishes that have been passed down through generations, as well as innovative creations that combine traditional flavors with contemporary culinary techniques that will awaken your taste buds and nourish your soul.
